Today water supply is one of the basic needs of human life support. One of the priorities is universal and equitable access to water, organized in a safe manner. The residents of the hard-to-reach areas (remote villages/districts) do not have easy access to water.
The residents of the hard-to-reach areas of Karakalpakstan often have to use sources like hand pump.
The main objectives of this program are to meet the needs of the population in water resources for agricultural and domestic purposes in remote regions, by bringing modern water supply systems to consumers via installing water pumps and drilling wells.
ASSISTANCE WITH WATER SUPPLY WILL ALLOW THE LOCAL POPULATION
TO PLANT AND GROW VEGETABLES, MUNG (BEANS) AND GREENS ON THEIR
PLOTS, AS WELL AS USE WATER FOR DOMESTIC PURPOSES.
The main targets of this program are the satisfaction of the needs of the population in water resources of agricultural and household purposes in remote regions by bringing up-to-date systems of water supply to the consumers and installation of water pumps.
Assistance with water supply will allow the local population to plant and grow vegetables, mung (beans) and greens on their plots, as well as use water for domestic purposes.
The list of works performed prior to producing the water:
– drilling of a well of depth upto 25 meters and mounting of a pipe for water;
– factual installation of pumps in houses.
